About the Editor

Jerome G. Delaney holds a PhD in Educational Administration from the University of Alberta and is an associate professor in the Faculty of Education at Memorial University of Newfoundland. Prior to his appointment to the Faculty in 2004, he served a total of 30 years in the K-12 school system in Newfoundland and Labrador.  Those 30 years included 15 years as a high school teacher and 15 years as a high school principal (Our Lady of Lourdes High School, Lourdes, 1985-1989; St. Stephen’s High School, Stephenville, 1989-1993; St. Michael’s High School, Bell Island, 1997-2004)

He currently teaches the following courses in the Faculty of Education:  Effective Teaching (Education 4005), Legal Issues in Today’s Schools (Education 4641) and Introduction to Educational Administration (Education 4425) in the Bachelor of Education (Intermediate-Secondary) program as well as a number of courses in the Master of Education (Educational Leadership Studies) program including Education 6335 (School Law for Teachers and School Administrators), and Education 6203 (Leadership:  Theory and Practice).
